If you receive an Early Alert email stating that you have an Early Alert hold on your account:
Students receive Early Alert notifications via email to the student’s @student.gsu.edu address. If you receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org stating that you have an Early Alert hold on your account please take the following actions immediately:
- Read all correspondence regarding the Early Alert notification carefully.
- Complete the SmarterMeasure online assessment by following the link in your email
- Call the Office of First-Year and Transition Programs at 404/413-2052 to make an appointment to meet with an Academic Coach.
- Schedule an appointment with your professor issuing the notification to discuss strategies for improvement.
If you receive an Early Alert Kudos email:
Students receive Early Alert Kudos emails to the student’s @student.gsu.edu address, and receive them because a professor has acknowledged that they are doing well in the course. Thus, Kudos to you for a job well done! Keep up the good work!
