Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar Chapter


The purpose of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar Chapter at Georgia State University is to promote academic success and professional preparation among college students, as well as to provide Georgia State students with the support needed to finish a higher education degree. We also aim to connect current Georgia State students with local schools to encourage higher education among the youth.

Meeting Times: Typically Wednesday @4:00 at least once a month

La Unidad Latina Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated strives to become the premier Latino Fraternity in the country. More specifically, we strive to become a nationally recognized Latino and minority fraternal organization comprised of the best and brightest leaders committed towards excellence through academic achievement, cultural awareness, community service and promotion of the Latino culture and people.

Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc

LTALogoThe purpose of Lambda Theta Alpha is to provide a sisterhood based on Unity, Love, & Respect. Additionally, Lambda Theta Alpha strives to develop strong Leaders who will then provide and practice political, social and cultural activities, to promote Latino Unity through charitable and educational programs and to maintain a high standard of learning and serve as a voice for all Latino students.

Latin American Student Association (LASA)

lasalogoOur goal is to introduce the Latin American culture to the community of GSU. We try to work jointly with many other associations and organizations within and outside school. Other goals include: promoting networking, education, community service, and leadership for the members and the community.

The Latino Leadership Council (LLC) aims to become the umbrella for the current and future Latino organizations by promoting cooperation among member organizations on theGeorgia State University campus. The LLC hopes to represent the Latino community at Georgia State University thru various programs and events.

Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latina Unidas Sorority, Inc.

SLUlogoSLU highly prides itself as an organization of diverse college-educated (collegiate) and professional women dedicated to uplifting traditionally marginalized groups, especially Latinos and women, by serving as a voice and means for empowerment. Since 1987, SLU has been an outlet for professional development and personal growth to its members and serving constituents. The Sorority’s impact can be seen in the outstanding accomplishments of their Hermanas, the young women they have mentored through the LADYS and PEARLS programs, and through the lives of all the people the Sorority has touched via their many literacy initiatives. Thus, proving to colleges and communities that women of color can make a difference.

Spanish Club

Spanish Club is an organization of people who share a common love for the Spanish language. While our organization is mainly focused on the grammar and literature aspects of the Latino/Hispanic culture, we love to embrace every learning opportunity we can that will give us a better understanding of the language. You do not need to speak Spanish fluently, be a native speaker, or be a Spanish major/minor to join. Everyone is welcome!
