Registering for Classes
We’ve broken down the course registration process into a few easy steps. Check out our registration how-to videos for a quick tutorial.
Note: The deadline to drop a course without penalty is the first Friday of the first week of class each semester, and the deadline to withdraw is the midpoint of each semester. Specific dates are listed on the academic calendar. It is important to check with your high school counselor about internal deadlines.

Textbooks
For students using Dual Enrollment funding, you will be loaned all required textbooks and course materials through the Follett ACCESS program. You'll have access to both digital and physical course materials, ensuring timely availability of the resources you need for academic success.
Participation in the Follett ACCESS program is automatic. All the materials you need for this semester will be provided to you, with the costs covered by your Dual Enrollment funding, eliminating the need for additional purchases.
Here's How it Works
Any physical textbooks will be shipped to your home by the bookstore using the mailing address on file with Georgia State. No action is required on your part. Follett will handle shipping based on your course schedule. More details and troubleshooting tips are below:
- Textbooks will be delivered by USPS.
- Access codes for any digital books will be emailed to your Panther email account. Be on the lookout for an email from BryteWave, Tophat, Cengage or Redshelf, and be sure to search in all folders.
- If the professor has not provided the required textbook information to Follett, you will not receive anything via USPS or email.
- If you have issues, please email the bookstore for assistance at [email protected].
Remember: Check your Panther email for information about textbooks. Textbooks are only available for approved Dual Enrollment courses. It is mandatory for all GSU Dual Enrollment students to return all physical textbooks to the bookstore at the end of the term.
You will get a 14-day free trial from the professor on the first day of class. Activate this while you wait to receive your textbook email. If you have not received the code by day 8 of your free trial, please contact the bookstore at [email protected].
Returning Your Textbooks
No exceptions will be granted.
Look for a more detailed email about textbook returns toward the end of the semester.

For the latest information on how to continue at Georgia State after graduating from high school, contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 404-413-2500 or [email protected]. You can request that an official transcript be sent to another college or university through your PAWS account. Follow these steps: At the end of each semester, the Dual Enrollment Office will work with the Office of Registrar to send your grades to your high school. All dual enrollment students must obtain written consent from their high school counselor to withdraw from a course. Counselors must email the Dual Enrollment Office to approve the student’s withdraw request. Once the consent form has been approved, the Dual Enrollment Office will contact the student with further steps to withdraw. PAWS is Georgia State’s Panther Access to Web Services student portal. It provides students, faculty and staff with personalized access to a wide range of campus resources in a single location. You can register for classes, access your PantherMail, request official transcripts and more through PAWS. Every student is issued a PantherCard as a form of official university identification. Carry it with you at all times on campus. More information about the PantherCard.Current Students FAQs - DE
