An Overview
The Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund award at Georgia State is made possible by The Goizueta Foundation, established by Roberto C. Goizueta, the late CEO and chairman of the board of directors of The Coca-Cola Company. The scholarship helps increase the number of students of Hispanic/Latinx heritage who enroll and complete their undergraduate degrees at Georgia State and provides mentors, internships, and community service experiences to these students so they can become the leaders of the future.
The Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund
1 – 2 awarded per year
- Georgia in-state tuition and fees applied to Student Account
- Housing in the University Commons in a 4-bedroom unit
- $1,000 annual living expense stipend awarded to student Panther Card
- A one-time $2,500 stipend for credit-bearing study abroad expenses
- Eligibility for a university assistantship, a work option to earn an additional $1,250 per semester

*Note: You should apply for admission to Georgia State by the recommended admissions application dates above (and preferably much earlier) to allow sufficient time to be admitted. You must be admitted to Georgia State before you can apply for Goizueta scholarships.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an Atlanta-campus student applying as a first-year student and have gained admission to GSU by the time of the application submission (Perimeter College students are not eligible at this time).
- Must have demonstrated leadership and track record of service to the Hispanic/Latinx community.
- Must be of Hispanic/Latinx heritage
- Must have at least a 3.00 cumulative high school GPA
- Must have completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by March 1.
Evaluation Criteria
- Leadership
- Community service in favor of the Hispanic/Latinx community
- Extracurricular, school, and community-related activities/participation
- Financial need
- High school GPA
- The Goizueta Foundation Scholarship essay
- Personal resume
Expectations
- Participation in Latinx College Prep 101 (a day-long workshop, which will take place prior to the start of the Fall semester)
- Participation in the Latinx Studies First-Year Learning Community
- Participation in leadership development and community service initiatives
- Design and lead an annual Scholars Service Project
- Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and successfully abide by GSU's Code of Conduct
- Participation in Honors colloquium
- Completion of the senior capstone
How to Apply
To apply online, you must be accepted to Georgia State and have your student ID and password. After logging in, click on the View All Scholarships link and then enter “The Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund Award” in the search filter. In addition to the application, a letter of recommendation, essay, and resume must be submitted. Please see the application for details.
